I love having a clean and organized house. It's amazing what straightening the pillows on the couch will do to a room! I wanted to show you how I keep my house clean all while having a job, a 10 month old baby, making dinner, and packing lunches. I am Super Mom, hear me roar!
Things I clean everyday:
- Dishes (darn dishes that never end)
- Straighten pillows on couch
- Clean up Claire's toys (downstairs and upstairs)
Things I clean mid-week:
- Garbage
- Bath tub
- Sweep Floors
Things I clean on the Weekends:
- Laundry
- Vacuum 2 rugs downstairs and 1 upstairs
Things I clean twice a month:
- Toilets
- Sinks
Things I clean once a month:
- Vacuum stairs and upstairs
For the most part, this method keeps my house clean. There are times where I might skip something, or look at the toilet and say "Uh, no. This needs to be done now."
Before, when Claire couldn't play by herself, I put her in the carrier and lugged her all around the house with me.
Now, she can play as I run around the house. OR David watches her as I get everything done.
It honestly feels so good to have a clean house. And I feel so accomplished when David gets home to the smell of dinner and the house is all tidy.
Claire does help out though when she takes her long afternoon nap from 3:30-6:00.
Oh man. If it could stay that way forever I would love it.
I can get dinner made, chores done, and have enough time to watch some TV.
****Update: This post was written a few days ago. The last 2 days Claire learned how to bear crawl and stand up. So she can no longer take naps on our bed. She has to take naps in her crib, and they have been shortened to 1 hour. Mostly because she now has some new skills to practice! (More on that later)****

lol, oh no! good luck keeping the house clean now hahahaha. ;)
You stop it! :)
She did pretty good playing by herself while I cleaned yesterday... Hopefully it stays that way...
But now I have to walk around with her and tell her what things she can't touch.
Oh my lanta, I'm so bad about keeping up a cleaning routine. I'm terrified it's going to be such a nightmare when the babies are here! I need to start now to get in the habit. Thanks for the motivation.
That's why I am going to come live with you. Duh.
You get to keep your house clean and cook regularly despite having a work and being a mom to a 10-month-old baby?! Wow, you are absolutely a super mom, Caity! I am single and living alone, yet I barely keep my house clean straight for five days and kept myself fed by home cook meals. I wish I was blessed with at least half of your powers! T.T

I get a lot of help from my husband AND Claire is a really good baby and can play independantly. It's tough work. But so much easier when you have help.
I've even had days where I ask my mom to babysit so I can get caught up. :)
